Oak Grove Farm and Equestrian Center is a high level boarding, training and sales stable located in Smiths Grove, South Central Kentucky. We specialize in boarding, training, and acquiring Hunter/Jumper horses and ponies from Ireland, Europe, and North America. Founded in 2013 by Harriet McCord and her father Bertie McCord, it is a premiere mid-west USA equine boarding and training center located right in the "heart of horse country".

The farm and center facility is comprised of over 65 stables and two barns that are nestled within a gentle and peaceful 40 acre holding of excellent turnouts and riding countryside.

At Oak Grove Farm and Equestrian Center, you and your horse will be in the careful and experienced hands of Harriet and her team. Harriet grew up in Ireland where she represented Ireland at international competition level across many varied national and international show jumping events including the 2002 European Under 18 Championships held in Hagen, Germany.

Harriet spent several years of her junior career under the careful guidance and training of the internationally acclaimed Irish Chef D'Equipe, Mr Eamon RiceMr Rice has held the role of Irish Chef D'Equipe for pony, junior, young rider and senior teams including National and European Championships, and 5* international senior nations cup for many years now and is annually called upon to judge potential 4 year old horses in national championshipsDuring Harriet's training period with Eamon, she was highly trained in horsemanship and the producing of young horses through to top class showjumpers. Harriet also traveled as part of Eamons team to sales events and private clients where she was able to learn the invaluable acts of sourcing horses with showjumping potential, the accurate pricing of such horses, and also how to show a horse to it's full potential in front of clients.

Harriet has also been awarded and commended with elite Irish and UK level training bursaries and awards during her junior career. These recognition's of her talent have also given Harriet opportunities to be trained by World Champion showjumper Dermott Lennon, Irish World, European, and Olympic Championship rider Captain John Ledingham, and a training placement with Commandant Gerry Mullins at the Irish Army Equitation School.

Harriet has also gained experience at Kinloch Enterprises in Virginia with the Aron family. There, she was responsible for a team of international showjumping horses, grooms and riders where Harriet received a thorough grounding in US equine regulations, veterinary matters, international showjumping federation rules, and invaluable training from Aimee Aron (trained by top international showjumper, Laura Kraut).

Needless to say, throughout her junior and senior career Harriet has come to acquire a highly illustrious social and business network of top class trainers, breeders, dealers and producers both in Ireland and from across Europe and beyond. Therefore, Harriet not only has the experience to host, train, and nurture your horse at Oak Grove Farm and Equestrian Center, but she can also source hunter/jumper horses and ponies borne by the most excellent bloodlines from across Ireland and Europe for the most discerning client.
